REBUSfarm plugged in

November 14th, 2009: REBUSfarm plugged in

REBUSfarm presents a new and unique concept for integrating a render farm into the workflow of the 3D community.

The development of the REBUSfarm Farminizer Software gives the user full access to the power of the render farm inside their 3D application. The REBUSfarm Farminizer plugin checks the project inside the 3D software and makes sure that it conforms to the render farm, allowing an almost seamless connection to the render farm. Ideally, the user notices no difference between rendering locally and rendering on the render farm, except for the well-known speed advantage.

At the moment, 3DS Max and Cinema 4D for PC and MAC are supported. You can download the free REBUSfarm Farminizer Software here.

It is of course still possible to send us projects using FTP.

Maxwell Render without MXS

April 17th 2008: Rendering with Maxwell Render from project files created in 3dsmax and C4D

By continuously enhancing our rendering farm software we are now able to render projects for Maxwell Render directly from the host-applications 3D Studio MAX, Cinema 4D, Softimage XSI and Maya. Lightwave support will be available soon.

What's special about this?

From now on there's no need for our customers to create an MXS-file (Maxwell Scene Format) for every single frame of animation to be rendered. Instead you can simply send us the single project file from the host-application 3D Studio MAX or Cinema 4D. Therefore the tiresome step of exporting up to thousands of files isn't necessary any more. Furthermore the size of the data-upload turns from gigabytes into megabytes. A lot of projects wouldn't be possible without this improvement.
